10 :1 Granola!

- Hello everybody, so, it's been a while!

- My life has been SO BUSY! I really don't know where my days have gone!

- Being that Im the ridiculously busy person I am in the morning, (i.e. I can't be bothered to get up in the morning on time!) I never really eat breakfast as well as I should -

- So recently I have been making a really big effort to at least eat something in the morning, which is where I discovered my love for Granola.

- I was also sat down one evening after working all day and I was talking to Pete (The favourite man in my life) who was mocking my choice in food, saying anyone else would just have a bacon sandwich and I have to go be ridiculous and want granola. . . you know what? I don't think it's that weird!! I like it!

- Long story short, he mocked, said it was easier to make a sandwich, I decided it would be fun to make granola. . . and here we are!

- The original recipe was found ** here **
buut I decided with a few tweaks it would be better!

- I used chopped prunes and a tropical fruit mix instead of the berries, I also changed the way it bakes, instead of baking with the fruit in, I find this can make it a little bitter (I really don't know why, but it does!) I add the fruit afterward.

- As a side note, I've been watching rubbish on youtube tonight, (no comments required, there was nothing on tv!) and I found this video. . . I really like her attitutde, a lot of people I know will start a fight out of nothing, so it was really nice to hear someone say, you know what, it isn't worth it!

- Apart from that. . . I hope everyone is well. and, Happy March!

Some interesting Factoids This Week!
Trains scare me, for good reason, this is so sad The snow is back! after a light covering last night the mountains are looking really pretty This is odd, because here in town it has been super sunny and warm! seee ---> PRETTY Angola and Andorra are NOT the same place, well done CNN. Shopping online will be the death of me! I'm very against drugs. - This is just through the result of knowing some pretty heavy addicts in the past I don't like how drugs are prescribed, and then afterwards the side effects are noted. DEATH is a pretty big side effect!

Songs on Sunday #14

field 2
( why can't the weather be like this all the time!)

MusicPlaylistView Profile

- Merry Sunday everyone.

- This weekend I am trying to make myself motivated for the week ahead, it's not working out so great, but you know, it's a little difficult sometimes. I guess the weather doesn't help, why does the weather affect my mood so drastically? it never used to!

- Two pet hates. People signing their paintings in strange symbol like initial compilations (here's looking at you PRH!) and overuse of colour (as in, you don't know where to look, because I LOVE bright colours, just not confusing bright colours - you would think I am so unintelligent sometimes. I can never seem to get my point accross!).

- BUT I recieved a card from my mother by SebVanB, and I LOVED the colours and the textures - nothing that I can demonstrate to you through the screen, but trust me, to hold, they are beautiful.

- Not my usual style. At all! - but I am strangely drawn toward these. I also love the names he gives them, Tallulah, Genevieve. . .

- He has ETSY (I should be banned from Etsy, money pit!)

- And we KNOW Hanna stalks via Twitter format!

Store Lovin' #4 : Miss Selfridge ( A Pleasant Surprise!)

store love

- I think it takes a lot to develop your own personal style.

- I think that it is an accumulation over your life. You don't have one style and stick to it.

- I feel that recently, I know exactly what I like, and what I don't. I know what I want to wear and what I feel extremely uncomfortable in. For example. I HATE jeans, apart from one brand, I don't wear jeans. I have just never found a pair that fit nicely and are flattering. (lack of bum and ridiculously long legs prrroooobabbblyyyy don't help!)

- I admire those (my brothers girlfriend in particular) who dress simply, who can wear a pair of jeans, a twinset and a pair of earrings and be done. However everyone who knows me, knows I won't be done. I feel naked without scarves, necklaces, earrings, I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I am a walking bazaar. I like my clothes to tell a story.

- That said, Miss Selfridge are really impressing me at the moment. I have never really shopped there. I think I had a pair of Purple lurex lycra flares circa 2000, but apart from that, no.

- Some things that I can't live without. Willowy tops, wedges, shorts, black, smart clothes that can transition into night, into job interview (any advertising agencies willing to hire me. . .I'm free!). . Miss Selfridge appears to be hitting the nail on the head. . . but am I the only one the name puts off?

- Post Christmas Sales, did evolve into me buying a fully beaded top from Miss Selfridge, I can't find it online, but I felt like a flapper! it is amazing!

8 :3 James Vincent McMorrow. Dublin's Finest.

- I want to work in advertising. This is no secret. I scrutinise adverts on the television with more effort than I put into my degree. The love film advert had a beautiful song in the background. . . but what was it?!

-I found it. I fell in love.

- Another poorly kept secret is that I have a bit of a thing for men with beards. (fat men with beards, who usually smoke a lot, drink a lot, and get me into trouble, but that is a whole other story)

img-mg---music-up-comers---james-mcmorrow_170317426717

- this song has been the soundtrack to my week. When I'm wide awake at night because I'm pumped full of morphine - when all I want is the man next to me - but he is 10 miles away (so close, yet so far) and fast asleep, because he has to get up for work at 5. That's when this song comes out.

- It's rare I find songs beautiful, but this rendition is nothing short of.

-To be fair, James Vincent McMorrow (could he not have found a stage name? a shorter stage name!?) has been compared to Sufjan Stevens whom I am in love with anyway, so he never really stood much of a chance!

- His Website has a few interesting tidbits (and a show I WILL be attending as it is in the city my brother lives in, and costs 12.50?! brilliance!)

jvmm

- One of my best friends from my time at University was Irish (I don't know why I said she WAS Irish - she still is!) and I can't STAND the accent - I think it's because I can't understand the damned accent! but his Irish-ness doesn't come through at all. . . and he is rivalling my love for Jim Moray on the Folk singer front (he won't beat him, try as he might)

- But I love how. . .chilling his voice is.

- Have a listen. See what you think.

- Oh, and who doesn't like a good twitter stalk?!

- Muchos Besos.
