7 :2 A Slight Obsession With Peach Maxi Skirts - I'm Taking my Mind From the Fact I am Going to be Frightened to Death This Eve.

- There is just something about the billowing of fabric around your legs as you walk, the elegance of the flowing material.

- I love wearing maxi skirts - even in the winter - I love it so much because when it is so cold I can put leggings on underneath, and no one knows!

- My boyfriend (who refers to my taste in fashion as 'hobo') HATES with a passion my collection of  long skirts.

- I can't help it though, I love how demure, and how unrevealing they are.

- Perhaps I was born in the wrong time era. . . or maybe I should be Amish. . but I'm going to continue to wear my skirts!

- I think long gone are the days where long skirts were simply for the frumpy, high fashion breathes longer hemlines and everyday outfits should be able to carry off such a simple statement.

- This current obsession began with the first image, which I found on tumblr - I just loved the swathes of peachy fabric against the sharp black blazer. . . So now I am in search of a peachy skirt - but it must be just right, tight maxi skirts are perhaps (along with being a MAJOR throwback of the 90's) the
most unflattering things known to man.

- I think it is a common view that only tall people can wear maxi skirts, is it not? For fear of the shorter among us becoming swallowed in the long hemlines - I don't have this problem, being the giant I am! - but I don't believe it is exactly true (google the Olsen twins, they are teeny-tiny and wear long hems all the time. . they look stunning doing so).

- On most occasions I listen to the man, but this time I think I will ignore him ( I think he just wants me to get my legs out!!) He takes me shopping in beautiful vintage stores ( I will have to show you some of my recent purchases) and happily pulls pieces from the shelves for me. . . but I'm  not having this one. I AM RIGHT - did he not know that? I'm always correct!!

- What do you think? Yay or Nay? Should we tuck the long skirts away and stick to the shorter versions, or are you in on the long skirt?

- Happy Wednesday! - I hope everyone is well - I'm going on a ghost walk (terrified) so it could be an interesting one! Much love.

7 :1 Hey You! Whaddya Goin'a Do With All That Turkey!?! : Turkey Pizza!

- I don't know about you, buuuuuuut we ALWAYS have waaaayyyy too much turkey left over at the end of Christmas!

- And the reason this is a day early - is that traditionally my family has dinner on Christmas Eve, so Christmas day is set free for making new things with Turkey!

- Once we have expired Turkey Soup, Turkey Cobbler, Turkey Curry, Turkey Salad. . . . . What do you do with the leftovers? Well I present you with. . . Turkey Pizza.

- One of my favourite Pizza Places in the whole world, Pizza House (ever in the area - trot on, it's a beaut!) Has the best Pizza that is created called BBQ Chicken, and this is the Christmas homage to that!

turkey pizza

- Most ridiculously easy thing in the world! We create the base any way we please, (Here's a good one!) (but you can also use the dough from the flat breads I made here!) we chuck some tomato puree and sage on, some Turkey, some cheese and some BBQ sauce! We bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 190 °!

- Devour with family!

Songs on Sunday #12 & a Merry Christmas Love Hanna!

PICT0088

- Merry Christmas everyone.

- This is all I have to say to you today!

- I hope you all have had a wonderful day, shared with the ones you love.

- I really enjoyed today, apart from there was one soul missing from my party. One man who makes my life whole. One massive pain in the arse. Who was sharing his Christmas with his family. (and is currently telling me how his grandad completely 'destroyed us all at monopoly'- and how he has had two Christmas dinners today. . . he's a little exciteable!)

Songs on Sunday #11

- So it's come to that time again, the end of the week, or the beginning of a new one?

christmas lights on fence

- When I was little I was always told to keep Sunday in mind as the beginning of a new week, not the end, it took a good few years to realise no one else thinks like this. To everyone else the end of the week is a sunday.

- I never really liked Sundays, and I can't think why, I have no reason not to like them. I think it is because I am busy all week and then it all comes crashing to an end on a sunday. The nothing-ness of a Sunday leads me to be at a loss for something to do (so I get myself into trouble or stay in bed!)

- Christmas is drawing ever closer and I find myself suddenly sedate, like I am trying to cling on to the end of the year as much as I can. This time last year I promised myself the following year would be better than the one previously, and this is a promise I am making myself again this year. I didn't think I would have to, I didn't think there was a way in which my year could get much worse than it was, it did, but things always have to get worse to get better right? Because although I've had some pretty big battles this year, I can honestly say I am happy. I hope everyone else is happy too.
