7 :2 A Slight Obsession With Peach Maxi Skirts - I'm Taking my Mind From the Fact I am Going to be Frightened to Death This Eve.

- There is just something about the billowing of fabric around your legs as you walk, the elegance of the flowing material.

- I love wearing maxi skirts - even in the winter - I love it so much because when it is so cold I can put leggings on underneath, and no one knows!

- My boyfriend (who refers to my taste in fashion as 'hobo') HATES with a passion my collection of  long skirts.

- I can't help it though, I love how demure, and how unrevealing they are.

- Perhaps I was born in the wrong time era. . . or maybe I should be Amish. . but I'm going to continue to wear my skirts!

- I think long gone are the days where long skirts were simply for the frumpy, high fashion breathes longer hemlines and everyday outfits should be able to carry off such a simple statement.

- This current obsession began with the first image, which I found on tumblr - I just loved the swathes of peachy fabric against the sharp black blazer. . . So now I am in search of a peachy skirt - but it must be just right, tight maxi skirts are perhaps (along with being a MAJOR throwback of the 90's) the
most unflattering things known to man.

- I think it is a common view that only tall people can wear maxi skirts, is it not? For fear of the shorter among us becoming swallowed in the long hemlines - I don't have this problem, being the giant I am! - but I don't believe it is exactly true (google the Olsen twins, they are teeny-tiny and wear long hems all the time. . they look stunning doing so).

- On most occasions I listen to the man, but this time I think I will ignore him ( I think he just wants me to get my legs out!!) He takes me shopping in beautiful vintage stores ( I will have to show you some of my recent purchases) and happily pulls pieces from the shelves for me. . . but I'm  not having this one. I AM RIGHT - did he not know that? I'm always correct!!

- What do you think? Yay or Nay? Should we tuck the long skirts away and stick to the shorter versions, or are you in on the long skirt?

5 :1 Locking the Windows & Doors - Security Light ON [Some Scary Happenings in Hanna's World]

Helo bawb,

- So it's been a while, a little too long if you ask me!

- How's everyone doing? good?

- This past month has been absoluteley crazy, so much has been going on! (and if you've ever tried to install functioning internet into a house where the nearest power supply to your phone line is up two flights of stairs - you'll feel my pain, it involved lifting up a carpet and a ridiculously LONG phone line!)

- I've moved back abroad, away from the wonder that is England! (God bless)

- I just wanted to talk about something quite serious actually, currently in my city (TINY city, but still) we have an insanely low crime rate, everybody knows everybody else and in general I have always felt quite safe here, but just recently we have had a spate of kidnappings ( I KNOW - what. the. heck?!)

- It's the sort of thing you would just knock to the back of your mind and think would never happen to you. Until it happens to your next door neighbour, then two of your best friends nearly get pulled into a car on their way home, - a BIT of police presence would be nice!

- It's actually really quite scary, because until recently I would have been more than happy to walk through the city on my own at 2am (and have done) It's not a nice feeling to feel unsafe in your own home.

- my heart is with you all, stay safe.

"You're my full stop"

I know it's ridiculously early in the morning. I'm moving house today.

but.

I'm also getting engaged today.

I'm sorry Han, I didn't quite hear that, can you repeat it?

Oh yes, of course

My boyfriend just told me I was his 'full stop' and however scary it was he wanted to be with me forever.

He just proposed!!

I wanted to share, with my little blogging family. I'm genuinely over the moon. I love him so much.

I hate soppy posts about love lives, so this is a one off, but I'm getting engaged!


p.s. This weeks 'songs on sunday' was a good one. so I may post later in the week. . . 'melodies on monday' . . . 'tunes on tuesday' . . . teehee!

 (Completely unrelated side note: I was just sent this screen shot of me on webcam to one of my friends *slaps forehead* who does this? . . oh wait, I do! SUCH a muppet! I just thought it was pretty funny!)

- I'm so proud of one of my friends (Pete, I bang on about him, but hey ho, he really is one of the most important people to me at the moment) he's not your average success story, he didn't try hard at school, and to put  it bluntly was a complete idiot. But, he's done a complete 180° and now he works for a charity and  with children at schools running music workshops.

- Words can't describe how much I love this dude.

- All he does is listen to music, I was at his flat yesterday evening and I have no idea how he has not been evicted, his neighbours must hate him! He plays music SO loud!

2 :22 Hanna Loves Nick and Pete

(A picture taken by Pete on a road trip we took a couple of weeks ago, for some reason we thought this was hilarious)

- It's funny how much you can care for another person.

-That's a problem I have a lot of the time, I focus too much on other people, not on myself. I'd rather everyone else was happy than myself. I'm learning slowly, that I need to be happy aswell.

- I had a pants year, it's no lie, and I'm not quite over it yet, I'm happy again, it's over, but it still hurts, I'm not ready to laugh about it, I'm not ready to accept it, not just yet.

- However, I am grateful, I'm so grateful for the last year, because if I hadn't gone through all the rubbish I went through, I wouldn't have met some of the most amazing people I know.

- That's not entirely true, I knew them, but I wouldn't have become as close to them as I have done.

- These two men, Nick and Pete, are the highlights of my life, they are who I strive to be. One of them has scarpered off to America for the summer, and I miss him immensely, he doesn't know I miss him so much, but I don't think he knows how much he helped me. The other, I have been spending a lot of time with, and I love him to bits, he makes me smile when my day has been rubbish, I always leave his flat feeling happier than when I arrived.

- HOWEVER, he does have an awful habit of ringing me when he is drunk, or, just in the middle of the night. I recieved a phone call last night, and it turned out he was walking home. ALONG A MOTORWAY! He makes me worry so much for his safety, I have never been so stressed out!!

- I guess what I'm saying (or trying to) is that I love these two so much, and I would be so devastated if I ever lost them.

- Appreciate those you love.

2 :15 Shinoflow, Porta, Dani i David, Chema i Jandro, [Will You Marry Me?]

- It is common knowledge that if you come in my car, you will listen to what I choose and you will like it! - Hey if I'm driving your ass around consider it payment (chances are I'll be doing it for free, because I'm nice like that).

- I'm super bad for playing music ridiculously loud, like, embarassingly loud. Which is odd, because I hate it when people listen to the TV too loud, or the radio, it's only acceptable in the car! (don't try rationalise that, I have my theories!)

- I'll listen to anything, and I mean anything, I enjoy everything (apart from Muse and Radiohead : I have my reasons!) even if it is not what I would have picked to listen to.

- BUT, these men, gah! I'm so in love with them, their voices! ( so much so that writing this has sent me on a three hour youtube sesh. . ) This is odd I know, I don't really like all of their music, it's just their voice I am in love with, all of these three. Carlos, Christian and Dani, you have the most beautiful voices, and I am single (sort of : for you I am)!!

- Would you just look at that boys hair?! it's better than mine!
- My claim to fame here, is that he tweeted me! I was overjoyed for weeks (erm, I still am!)

- This is going to sound like I have completely lost the plot, but I love when you can hear him breathing in between his lines. not least do most of Porta's songs have some great meaning behind them, not just useless drivel. Possibly not the best song to demonstrate this point, but his song Nota de Suicidio has me in tears every time!

- This has been my favourite band for YEARS. I was devastated when they "disbanded", actually, I'm still in denial. PLUS FERNANDO TORRES?! need I say more?!
-He's Dani's best friend, and, I'd take Dani over Torres anyday. BUT his cousin, David, has my heart. I don't even give a stuff that he is married and has a daughter named Luna!!
- I've been to see them in concert a few times, and man are they amazing.

- I'm well aware that I sound like some deluded fan-girl. That's probably because I am a deluded fan-girl when it comes to this lot.

- I COULD go on, but I'll save you. because my love for Lucas Masciano, Pereza, Melendi, Ivan Ferreiro, Maldita Nerea. . . . .goes on forever.

2 :6 There's No Need For Rudeness.

- Just something that has been winding me up today.

- People being so RUDE.

- For those who don't know, I work for 'la policia' . . therefore everything is kept very professional. For a reason. So it winds me up no end when I encounter RUDE individuals, gossiping, doing no work, and then picking holes in my work. You must be having a laugh!

- There's no need for rudeness, people, in general are pretty understanding. Don't think the worst. Don't expect them to do bad things, look for the good in people.

- OH and to people who won't move over on a pavement, don't worry, we'll fall off the path and onto the road and under a truck. Have some manners. (Yeah I'm looking at you gang of army cadets refusing to let us through!)

- That said, how funny is this video?!

- I love this song, but I have never seen this video before, that is, until today!

- In general I am not a fan of half naked girls in videos dancing (y'know, Gaga, Rhianna, Beyonce, the ones that make you feel really awkward when watching with your àvia!) but I think the amusement value of this lets it off!

2 :4 Look What I Found, Leandro Erlich & His Pool!

- You know when you are trawling the internet, and you happen across something amazing, and you just want to tell someone about it?, but, chances are, you are sat, on your own smiling a little smile to yourself about how awesome said thing is.

-Well I'm going to show you my stumblings!

- I recently discovered a project by Leandro Erlich . (He's from Argentina - 'nuff said)

- The idea is that he creates the illusion of a real swimming pool, with all the fixtures, but then there appear to be people under the water, where secretly they are in the basement. . . blows my mind!

- I just love the whole concept of this. . . imagine you're viewing a house
"oh look it has a pool" - *trots outside*
"what the heck?!"

- It would be class! . . and I still have the mental capacity of a 12 year old! ah well, simple things ey?!

- The whole construction is pretty seamless, and that's what makes it so awesome. Having said that. I'm a swimmer at heart, I'd take a real pool over this anyday!

- Definitely check out some of his other projects on his website. I won't get into an argument on "what is art" because whilst I don't believe this is traditional art, I think it's something fun to look at.
