8 :4 Seb Van Breukelen

- Seb Van Breukelen (yea that's hard to spell!)

- Two pet hates. People signing their paintings in strange symbol like initial compilations (here's looking at you PRH!) and overuse of colour (as in, you don't know where to look, because I LOVE bright colours, just not confusing bright colours - you would think I am so unintelligent sometimes. I can never seem to get my point accross!).

- BUT I recieved a card from my mother by SebVanB, and I LOVED the colours and the textures - nothing that I can demonstrate to you through the screen, but trust me, to hold, they are beautiful.

- Not my usual style. At all! - but I am strangely drawn toward these. I also love the names he gives them, Tallulah, Genevieve. . .

- He has ETSY (I should be banned from Etsy, money pit!)

- And we KNOW Hanna stalks via Twitter format!

6 :1 Life Through the Eyes of My Blackberry.

- Hia guys!

- Here's a little something for you to listen to, Crazy because I have a little hatred for Demi Lovato but this song Skyscraper is beautiful.

- So it's been a while, almost a month infact . . . it feels a little odd!

- Of late I've been having some severe personal problems including being in and out of hospital and some issues with some friends (don't want to bore you with the details but my ex is getting a little too involved with my life when I want to never even acknowledge his existence)

- I have an operation booked . . . . for the 21'st of December (4 days before Christmas . . . . nooooo!) and although I am:

a. frightened to death
b. dreading it and
c. annoyed that it has to be right before Christmas

I am kind of relieved. . . hopefully I will then be able to cut back on the morphine (which I am STILL taking every two hours.)

- I often think it would be really cool to be able to print of everything you see, because some things are just too good to miss - but by the time you get your camera out, the moment has passed. . . which got me thinking, if my phone could think,  what would it make of my life?!

- So here I present to you - Life through the eyes of my Blackberry. . .

Picnik collage1

Picnik collage2

- There's a couple of good fires in there (the last photo is of a sausage setting alight on a BBQ at around midnight - yeea this is what happens when you leave amateurs to attend to the cooking!)

- The SIZE of my brothers feet! (his basketball boots were ordered to my parents' house when I was there)

-My order from Long Winter Farm

-Halloween with my friend who went as a butcher? I don't know it was composed the last minute with an hour to go and limited resources! - hence cleaver made from card and tinfoil

- And a  couple of early morning shots - I'm always up at around 5 or 6 (medication wakes me up every  two hours, when I'm ready from my next dosage) so I often see the sun come up, and sometimes it's just beautiful. When you wake up, walk downstairs to be greeted by this

the cold air on the door, but the beaming sunshine - I know the letterbox is a mess, I'm working on it.

- And my friend with a box on her head. No I don't know what this is. How it came about. Why it came about. Whose idea it was. All I know is that I opened the front door and this was stood there to greet me. I am well aware I should probably go and find new friends.!

- I hope everyone is well!

- Muchos Besos

A Love Affair With #12 : Muhr Photography (Don't You Just Hate all The Dead Flies Hanging Around?!)

- The other night I was sat in the pub after a little bit of an argument with the Mr (resolved now. kissed. made up!) with some of my best friends, because of the significant morphine consumption at the moment (still, I know, it's been a long time now!) I can't actually drink, I was having a strop as it was and one of my friends threw a magazine at me, which I then decided to read. . (antisoc, you don't need to tell me!)

- I'll get on to what I found in that magazine, which grossed me out, a little later, but first, just look at these beautiful portraits.

- After I had finished being considerably grossed out by said other art project, I stumbled across these portraits, and I love them so much. . . the simplicity of them, yet the complexity of the subject choices.

- Now, here, is what I found originally. . .

1266601160_resized

- why yes! yes these are dead flies arranged onto drawings!

dead flies

- My initial reaction is 'eugh!' - but then I started to think that actually, is rather clever, then my thoughts went to 'how many flies does this guy have in his house?!' I mean, there are plenty there, but those are just the dead ones. . . does he collect dead flies? does he re-use his dead flies? Why dead flies?!

- So many questions I want to ask the guy. . . but he redeemed himself with the portraiture!

(I'm also not going to lie, the image of the fly shaving it's legs on the toilet seat made me giggle!)

The August Break 2011: #28, #29, #30 & #31 (In September, Because I'm Useless!)

IMGP13262

- I started with a flower, so I shall end with a flower. The colours certainly sum up summer, bright, vibrant and totally happy!

- Seashores, chronic hills, and abandoned train stations, all factors which make up a brilliant summer. Allthough in my head, summer isn't over yet, nor will it be for a while, the weather is deciding differently.

- If you're in the Wirral area (I won't make any comments on the area, because it is a person who lives there whom I do not like, not the area, the area is lovely!) Then definitely make a stop by Hadlow Road train station, it doesn't exist anymore, but you can have a good poke around and it's not set out all museum style, so you really can go on an adventure. Even if you don't do the bike ride trail along the old line, stop and have a picnic!

-These all form part of my adventre in hospital, to be completely honest with you, I was in the nicest wing of the hospital that hasn't even been open two years yet, but it still gets you down. the view from my windows was fabulous. So I really can't complain.

- This is just funny!
-Well, if you have read my other posts, you will know that I have a fractured spine, which made movement of my lower limbs pretty dirricult. . but I wanted to wear a skirt (so fed up of pyjamas!)
- So someone else had to shave my legs for me, the funniest thing ever, I couldn't stop giggling the entire time!

The August Break 2011: #14, #15 & #16

medium_k8cLhS

- These are late, but there is a reason.

- This Saturday I was taken into hospital (long story short : Broken spine) and I have been unable to walk / sit / use much of my body at the moment.

- I have been prescribed a LOT of morphine, as well as various other drugs (I'm thinking of opening up a pharmacy, Hanna's Remedies!) I haven't really been functioning normally, and I have spent most of the time laid flat, not moving, waiting for my next round of drugs. It's not fun. . . . but today I was determined to move about a bit. . and have been slowly (read: VERY SLOWLY) walking.

- Imagine a heavily pregnant lady and how she walks, that's how I'm moving, but slower! I felt ridiculous but at least Im moving again!! hey ho! what can you do ey?!

-This rainbow was SO bright, I hate how you can never quite capture the magnificance of a rainbow, no matter how hard you try (well I can't anyway, and I don't get much practice on account of rainbows not being too frequent around these here parts!)

DSC_07122

- A flock of birds sitting in the field near my house, it's magic when they all take off at once! ( do birds take off?! That makes them sound like a plane!)

DSC_0772

-My bedroom window, this is what I have been staring at for a couple of days. As nice a window it is, it looked a lot prettier when it started to rain, yet you could still see the sun shining through.

The August Break 2011: #12 (And A Bit of Goldfrapp!)

24906_500229580506_528430506_11094020_6206037_n2

- Walking along a pier in the sun is one of the best things in this world. The water underneath you, walking out to sea. Pure love!

- I heard this song on the radio earlier. . and it has been stuck in my head!

- I can't think of anything more brilliant! it's a subject matter which is usually portrayed in a sad light. . . but this is with a positive, upbeat twist. Amazing!

The August Break 2011: #11 (And Han's Relationship Issues!)

- This is literally all I wanted all day.

- I know, as far as picture quality goes, it's pretty shocking, but it represented my day really well.

DSC_0704
(August Break 2011 : #11)

- It's amazing how much of a bad day you are having and just the supportive hand of someone close to you, reassuring you that everything is going to be ok, will make you feel a billion times happier.

- Righto : I've had two emails in the last week, asking me if I have a boyfriend. (yes) . . but here's why it may have slipped past you!

- I don't like blogs where people ram their relationship down your throat. I mean, I'm glad you have a boyfriend and all. . don't get me wrong, but your significant other is not what makes you, you.

- I feel this way in life too. One of my friends got VERY angry with me because she felt that I wasn't spending enough time with her. Where I had gone from living with her and seeing her a good twelve hours a day, to seeing her three or four evenings a week (She has since found a girlfriend and I haven't seen her in near enough five months) I think it's about finding a balance (old married couples - you're off the hook!)

DSC_0686
(TEA after a shopping spree?!)

(he really hates me taking pictures, so I went all stealth mode! don't know how he managed to miss my camera. . it's big enough! but shhhh)

- When I was single (and hurting- because in the end I started to enjoy singledom) in the blogs I found, if they were all soppy and "BBZ I luv yhoo/ I love my babba, he is the best thing I ever found" I immediately left the blog. I couldn't stand it. I don't mind the odd mention here and there, but I really hate the constant reminder that your life is not as good.

- Trust me I could go on about how amazing the boy is (he works with disabled people doing music workshops, and with children, and is just one of the most caring people ever) and I have written about him before, but I will always refer to him as my friend, because he is first and foremost my friend.

DSC_0701
(Swear down, he's a woman, owns more shoes than I do!)

- I just come across way to many blogs, who seem to just flaunt their boyfriends because it makes them sound 'cool'- I'm not one for judging others' relationships, but to me, a relationship is an intimate thing, it's a meaningful thing, not a status badge or a facebook update.

- Either way, yes I have a boyfriend, yes I love him, and yes he is one of the most amazing men I know (my Dad, Brother &Grandad being the others).

The August Break 2011: #10

DSC_0305

- Because I'm lazy, and have had a mental couple of days.

- I really don't know where my life is going these days, I was reading through timesheets from work earlier today, and I scared myself on how long amount of time has disappeared from infront of me.

- HOWEVER . . . this DOES mean that my best friend is nearly finished in America and WILL be home soon! ( A little too excited! not going to lie)
