Store Lovin' #4 : Miss Selfridge ( A Pleasant Surprise!)

store love

- I think it takes a lot to develop your own personal style.

- I think that it is an accumulation over your life. You don't have one style and stick to it.

- I feel that recently, I know exactly what I like, and what I don't. I know what I want to wear and what I feel extremely uncomfortable in. For example. I HATE jeans, apart from one brand, I don't wear jeans. I have just never found a pair that fit nicely and are flattering. (lack of bum and ridiculously long legs prrroooobabbblyyyy don't help!)

- I admire those (my brothers girlfriend in particular) who dress simply, who can wear a pair of jeans, a twinset and a pair of earrings and be done. However everyone who knows me, knows I won't be done. I feel naked without scarves, necklaces, earrings, I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I am a walking bazaar. I like my clothes to tell a story.

- That said, Miss Selfridge are really impressing me at the moment. I have never really shopped there. I think I had a pair of Purple lurex lycra flares circa 2000, but apart from that, no.

- Some things that I can't live without. Willowy tops, wedges, shorts, black, smart clothes that can transition into night, into job interview (any advertising agencies willing to hire me. . .I'm free!). . Miss Selfridge appears to be hitting the nail on the head. . . but am I the only one the name puts off?

- Post Christmas Sales, did evolve into me buying a fully beaded top from Miss Selfridge, I can't find it online, but I felt like a flapper! it is amazing!

8 :2 Kardashians Kracking Klothing?! - The Kardashian Kollection.

tumblr_lxesegbGmT1r7o5sao1_500

- You can deny it all you want, you know I'm not the only one who watches tripe on tv.. and somehow have found myself ever entrenched in the realms of the Kardashians. Embarrassing. I know.

tumblr_lxeuxyqUXH1r7o5sao1_500

- I don't condone what they do, I don't envy them, but I congratulate them, on doing absolutely nothing and getting paid for it.

Kendall Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Kylie Jenner

tumblr_lxehb0C1iI1qf4ywho1_500.png

- Anyway, you may or may not be aware of the Kardashian Kollection, which, quite frankly is very dissapointing. For girls who swan about perfectly primped, you would explain their own line to be less. . . blah! (Im pretty sure the leggings are the ones Khloe is wearing in the last photo. . mm)

kk1

- Having said that, there are a few salvageable items from their Kollection. Some items that I would give due, that I would say were worth it, a couple of rings, a couple of handbags, a jumpsuit and a bra. Try harder girls. I think it might take a bit more than a model with long dark wavy hair and a centre parting to sell your garb.

kk2

kk3

kk4

- A little sad, because I am rooting for them. Shoot me! I have a soft spot for then. When I'm having a bad day, nothing cheers me up more than a couple of hours watching mindless Kardashian related television!

- What do you think? Kredit to the Kardashians? (I'll stop that now. . it's amazing how long something can entertain me for!)

7 :2 A Slight Obsession With Peach Maxi Skirts - I'm Taking my Mind From the Fact I am Going to be Frightened to Death This Eve.

tumblr_lsabt9NP6a1qdgv9so1_500

- There is just something about the billowing of fabric around your legs as you walk, the elegance of the flowing material.

- I love wearing maxi skirts - even in the winter - I love it so much because when it is so cold I can put leggings on underneath, and no one knows!

- My boyfriend (who refers to my taste in fashion as 'hobo') HATES with a passion my collection of  long skirts.

article-0-0EFA988300000578-53_468x614

- I can't help it though, I love how demure, and how unrevealing they are.

- Perhaps I was born in the wrong time era. . . or maybe I should be Amish. . but I'm going to continue to wear my skirts!

23404353_004_e

- I think long gone are the days where long skirts were simply for the frumpy, high fashion breathes longer hemlines and everyday outfits should be able to carry off such a simple statement.

- This current obsession began with the first image, which I found on tumblr - I just loved the swathes of peachy fabric against the sharp black blazer. . . So now I am in search of a peachy skirt - but it must be just right, tight maxi skirts are perhaps (along with being a MAJOR throwback of the 90's) the
most unflattering things known to man.

- I think it is a common view that only tall people can wear maxi skirts, is it not? For fear of the shorter among us becoming swallowed in the long hemlines - I don't have this problem, being the giant I am! - but I don't believe it is exactly true (google the Olsen twins, they are teeny-tiny and wear long hems all the time. . they look stunning doing so).

- On most occasions I listen to the man, but this time I think I will ignore him ( I think he just wants me to get my legs out!!) He takes me shopping in beautiful vintage stores ( I will have to show you some of my recent purchases) and happily pulls pieces from the shelves for me. . . but I'm  not having this one. I AM RIGHT - did he not know that? I'm always correct!!

- What do you think? Yay or Nay? Should we tuck the long skirts away and stick to the shorter versions, or are you in on the long skirt?

- Happy Wednesday! - I hope everyone is well - I'm going on a ghost walk (terrified) so it could be an interesting one! Much love.

101 Ways for Hanna to lose money. #1 (Tribal Impressions, Navajo Jewels.)

- You might need to play this - it's going to be a long one!

-You know when you just get so busy - and your to do list just keeps getting longer and longer and longer. . . yet you somehow have time to peruse online shops?! ha. . yes, I'm having one of those!

- I'm so snowed under with things to do . . that when I finally get a moment to myself I'm either chatting to the police (about a guy who tried to break into our house!!!) or just monging watching television!

- As much as I love Mary Portas. . . . I'm finally trying to pull myself away from doing nothing!

- I went to a Vintage Fair the other day - and oh my goodness! there was so many things I wanted to buy (I bought three things - to be revealed later!) and then so many things I wish I'd bought!

- Luckily there is another one coming up and the end of next month, and the Mr has promised to take me to it. . . someone with a better income than me! pahaha. . I joke, sort of.

- Gorgeous vintage sequin jackets will be mine!

- anyway, enough of that. . . I'm not ashamed to admit that I have an unabashed love for native american/ navajo / whatever style, especially jewellery and I do own a few vintage pieces . . . (so glad that it's back in fashion flavour of the month . . .I shall be buying quite a lot this season!) . . but imagine my excitement when I was again on etsy (longwinterfarm, this is all your fault! **shop here**) . . when I stumbled across Tribal Impressions!

il_570xN.228848470

- I posted a while ago, about wanting a beaded belt (still a work in progress. . i.e. it's bracelet length! haha) but this trumps that. a guitar strap. awesome!

navajo jewellery

- I love all of these! I literally would rock all of these - the only problem is, that one of my ears is stretched. . so I'm only able to wear one earring at a time at the moment. . . considering getting them pierced again so I can wear a beautiful pair!

il_570xN.263768702

- I do prefer the traditional colours. . . but who can resist hot pink!?

- Anyway, here's to spending all of my wages!

- Hope everyone is ok! sending love your way!

Store Lovin' #3 : Longwinterfarm (Some Gorgeous Cosmetics!)

-So, a couple of months ago, I don't know how or I'm not sure why, I think it was on my quest for a new perfume (damn you lacoste, bring back inspiration! it's my scent, without you I am scentless!)

-I really struggle to find perfumes that I like the smell of, perfumes that are not too sweet, not too flowery, not too musky, not too. . yada yada yada!

store love

-Anyway, somehow I stumbled across Longwinterfarm on Etsy, and decided it was worth a bash, I bought a perfume oil and two lipbalms (me and lipbalm, you know! I can't get enough, I hate lipgloss - too sticky - feels like goosefat, but you can't beat a good lipbalm!)

allready bought like!

-I bought the ginger peach lipbalm, the beachday perfume oil and the licorice lipbalm (which I don't appear to be able to find anymore - boo, it's awesome!)

- I LOVE these so much, I can't even explain it!

- The lipbalms are ace, and just superior quality, I get annoyed if I can't find one of them!, until now I have been an avid user of burts bees, but I tell you they have competition now!

- I've never really used perfume oil before so was uber curious. . and I'm so glad I chose to purchase, I LOVE this aswell - it smells so summery! I'm actually - as we speak (i.e. I'm multi-tasking which in my world is code for getting very distracted!) ordering some more goodies because I am so impressed

- I'm even throwing in one for my best friend Suki but shh don't tell her!!

will be mine pronto

- Chai! I have high expectations, especially due to the copious amounts of chai latte I drink on a regular basis!

will be mine pronto dos

- The only problem with these is the packaging (i.e. I chuck them around a lot in the bottom of my bag and they tend to get a little tatty) but, I can deal, means nothing to me!

- I also have REALLY dry skin on my hands, smoking, whatever, and I usually carry around  moisturiser with me, but I didn't have anything on me apart from my perfume oil, which I used, and oh my goodness how moisturising?!  Win!

- Go check out the shop, then buy some stuff, then realise why Im so in love!!!!!

- Oh and how ridiculously cute is their profile please?! This description made me smile silly amounts!

About me:: I'm a 30 year old mom of two living in western Maine, where I share my life with kitties, puppies, and my favorite boy, Joe. I'm a major craft addict, playing with sewing, knitting, spinning, felt crafts, candle making, embroidery, and of course, soaping! Yup, I'm one busy chick. Nope, I don't take naps.[. . .] About Joe: Joe's my very best friend, boyfriend, and business partner, and there's a good 50-70% chance he'll be the one packing your order. What's he like? Well, he's good at washing his hands, being pretty tall, having an Indiana twang, and randomly breaking into Rick Roll songs

RIGHTO off to spend more money! Toodles!

5 :2 A Slight Obsession With Neon Satchels.

- It's not as if I don't have enough bags - I do! It's just that I would like one that I could carry around that's not too big ( I have a leopard print bag that is far too big and I end up filling it with useless rubbish) and not too small (i.e. will only fit my phone and keys!)

- So in love with these gorgeous bags!

9eb1a604-d31b-4dce-b8fb-9e119a94b7a2_large

- I like the idea of something traditional being brought up to speed with some nice bright colours! There are too many grey's in this world - and I am the first to admit I am guilty!
a4793575-d2b0-4465-aeb8-d19fb40da607_large

- One of my best friends has just said that I would be mistaken for a raver ( Like that's a bad thing!) if  I purchased one, but I tell you I am dangerously close to buying the yellow one!

- The first and third are from Retrosatchels and the middle is from Whitefeather

- I tell you, if my salary wasn't so small I would be dangerous!

3 :6 Gorgeous Jewellery by My Lavaliere,

headbands

- I love these gorgeous headbands by My Lavaliere.

- They aren't overly embellished and tacky (although, 'avin said that, I do love me a bit of tacky every now and then)

- They are stylishly simple, and elegant, and just beautiful!

- The shop  sells all sorts of jewellery, but I think these are my absolute favourite. I think they would make beautiful gifts.

- This all began with two simple images.

-and,

58441669_9YYorlzj_c

- When I realised, I own no green pieces of clothing!

- The image of the first skirt would just not leave my head no matter how much I tried to make it. So I went off in search of the perfect mint green skirt (and got a little side-tracked along the way!)
