8 :1 Hairdye Remover Review (Scott Cornwall Colour B4)

- I am going to say, there are very few products that I believe in, that I think will actually work when they have such LARGE claims. I especially didn't believe in this product. So, these are totally my opinions.

-Ever dyed your hair and then thought 'oh sh*t!'?'

- I've done it, we've all done it! Trust me, my hair has been many colours! The hardest to get out? RED! If you're not sure, don't do it!!

- My friend, has been adamant that she will not be dying her hair since I have known her. Then one day - she turns around and surprises us all and says 'I'm going to dye my hair', now my friends know I have dyed my hair a LOT, so she asks me what I think, to which I reply 'you should probably only use a semi-permenant colour, I mean, If you really don't like it . . at least you won't have to wait for it to grow out. . .'

- Did she take my advice? did she 'eck as like!!!

DSC_0207

- So she dyes her hair this gorgeous purple colour. Not in your face purple. . but a dark brown that gleamed in the light. I loved it. She hated it. Twenty-something years of staring into the mirror and having a nutmeg colour looking back at her had marred her vision (or something to that effect)

- Therefore, we set about trying to remove it with something called Scott Cornwall Colour B4 Hair Colour Remover Extra. (moouuuuuuthfull!)

- I do know of a girl I went to school with who had some luck with this product, but the reviews are all over the place, with some people screaming it's praises and some wanting to bury it in the soil. Salons? yea, we could go down that route. . . but who has the money? (says the girl who has just had a full head of foils done - woohoo! no more dark blonde! another time Han, another time!)

- I know in America, they seem to have a lot more choice when it comes to things like this, but here, we had the choice of this. or err this!

- With that in mind we did not have high hopes.

hazelhair

- The mixture, when mixed together, smells like cat urine. (and it lingers, every time you wash your hair for the next fortnight, it's going to re-smell like cat urine.)

- Our bathroom stank, our entire house stank, the kind of stink that makes your eyes water and you want to stick cotton wool balls up your nose!

DSC_0213

- Clingfilming of heads is actively encouraged! allllriighhhhtttt! (no, I'm not 8, I just act it!)

DSC_0214

- Buuuuuuut, after hours of applying, stinking-out, and rubbing, if we are completely honest, it got her hair back to it's normal colour. If a little redder to begin with, over the next couple of washes, it almost completely came out and her hair is back where she started. With NO visible death to the existing hair. (i.e. doesn't feel like straw, like it does when you bleach colour out)

379968_302968573056887_100000312417489_1120052_716676298_n

- I feel the need to also mention, that this is for the removal of hair DYE, not bleach, I mean if you've bleached your hair, you're stuck with it, you haven't added colour to your natural hair, you've removed it, and it's quite likely you may end up looking like this. . .

4 :5 Some MORE Blogs Everyone Should Love!! (The Versatile Blogger Award)

- Right beautiful's (can that be plural? who knows!) . . I have something to share with you. . . . something that for me was pretty exciting! This was my first ever blog award (yes yes, I know I posted the other first, it was easier! - and that's not that the other was not important to me. . oh god I talk myself in circles [and I may or may not have another aswell - which to tell you the truth made this one a little easier, that way I could give all the blogs I love a fair shout out. . but shh for now!]) and it was given to me by the amazing Amanda of Poppies and Icecream! - Who, if you don't already read, then you should!!

- I have to admit, I'm terrible at keeping on top of everyones posts, mainly because I love so many different blogs, so I read a great wad of them at once and catch up!

Anyway this Award is the Versatile Blogger Award,

- Now I'm supposed to tell you 7 things about myself and pass it along to 15 blogs I love (what's with the numbers here guys? why not nice neat numbers? I guess you could say that's one thing about me, I like things to be in equal groups! - but I'll give you that one free!)

-I decided I'd try and give you some information on myself that I wouldn't casually drop into one of my posts, something a bit extra, other than "my name is Hanna [Woeking - if you're being nosey or stalk-y] and I'm in my 20's"  you know the drill! So, here we go. . .

-(and it's going to be a lengthy one. . sorry. .  but you know you want to know these things about me! I never tell you anything personal!)  I could tell you that I have an obsession with ". . ." but you probably already grasped that one. . . and that I prefer "[ . . .]" over "(. . .)". . .but you know, how exciting is that!?

dressing up

1, I love to dress up!, my normal style is, well, I've described it before as a 'walking bazaar' and that's pretty accurate. . . sooo these two are NOT my usual style, my friends and I, if we were going (sadly way in the past now) out on a night out, we loved to get made up - and it's funny, but I always got chatted up more when I was dressed up!!! (we aren't taking the mick, we are actually genuinely trying something different, you wouldn't believe the research that went into these!)

parade

2. I love carnivals. I love how happy people are at carnivals. What more can I say on that?!

sky
3. I love the sky- I love looking at the sky, I love taking pictures of the sky,  I love the sky at night, I love the sky in the morning, I just love the sky.

I love how it is forever changing, yet is always there, it's a constant, it's not going to run off on you, I guess the sky is a bit like life, it's going to keep being there, but it's going to keep changing, nothing's going to be the same again.

synchro

4. I guess you could say I'm a waterbaby. I am a competetive synchronised swimmer (team in green - look at the babies next to us, . awww!) When you compete, they pull your hair back into a bun as tight as it will go and then because you can't compete wearing your swim cap they paint gelatine onto your bun - almost like a waterproof gel - it's horrid and you have to have a REALLY hot shower to melt it out! I competed nationally - not up to Olympics standard yet!

me water

- I'm obsessed with the sea. End.

waterways

-I love going kayaking. Trust me my skills are a little more advanced than the picture below, which was a genuine rowing accident - the picture was taken at JUST the right time, my oar got stuck on the side of the bridge as we went under and literally threw me from my seat. Hilarious and a brilliant picture I love (if only for the memories)!

boat

5. I love the first time it snows. The anticipation of some EPIC slope action ahead. . .

snow

6. I don't love sleep- I think it's a waste of life. I go to sleep late, and I get up early. . . If I'm having a lay in, it's probably because I'm not very well! But, sometimes, this catches up on me, and I end up crashing in perculiar places!

sleep

 7. My hair usually looks like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards! I describe it as the 'Europe' look! - I can tame it, I just choose not to, I have more important things to be doing than my hair, having said that, I do occasionally like to just sit and play with it. . and if Im leaving the house, it will look allright, as I'm writing this, it actually looks pretty presentable (I thought I was going out today-  turns out I'm not!).

I wish my hair was red again! This was the actual colour of my hair about a year ago, and this is my natural colour that I have spent a year, and hundreds of pounds (I haven't added it up, but it's probably getting to that figure) getting it back to. The red was just so much more exciting!!

hair

NOW for the exciting bit! (now you've heard some completely daft facts about me!, I want to hear some daft facts about you lot!)

4 :1 Some Crazy Big ThankYou's! & Lots of Love

ta
- People may, or may not know that I have been really unwell at the moment,
I say unwell- I mean immobile! (I feel fine, apart from the chronic pain whenever I move/ the ridiculous amount of medication which makes me uber drowsy!)

-But from the first time I mentioned this injury (I know I'm not supposed to start a sentance with a 'but'- and from someone with a degree in English this is atrocious, but I don't care!) The few comments I recieved from a few people made me feel so much better, I can't thank you enough, you really lifted my spirits. So raise your *cyber*glassses to these beautiful ladies and go explore their wonderful sites - I know I have been doing on my phone when I haven't had accesss to my computer!

- I'm really sorry if I forgot anyone, but I honestly appreciated every single word, as I was sat in the hospital using my mobile internet (the only outlet I had to the outside world!) I was so surprised at the well wishings and comments, and even if it has taken me a while to catch up (and trust me, I'm SLOWLY getting round to answering my emails, hundreds in my inbox *screams*) my response is as genuine as it ever was!

- Mush, over now! much love.

The August Break 2011: #18, #19, #20 & #21

-These all form part of my adventre in hospital, to be completely honest with you, I was in the nicest wing of the hospital that hasn't even been open two years yet, but it still gets you down. the view from my windows was fabulous. So I really can't complain.

- This is just funny!
-Well, if you have read my other posts, you will know that I have a fractured spine, which made movement of my lower limbs pretty dirricult. . but I wanted to wear a skirt (so fed up of pyjamas!)
- So someone else had to shave my legs for me, the funniest thing ever, I couldn't stop giggling the entire time!

- Hospital food is ucky!

-Incase you were wondering, this is broccoli stew with sprouts. bon apetit!

The August Break 2011: #14, #15 & #16

medium_k8cLhS

- These are late, but there is a reason.

- This Saturday I was taken into hospital (long story short : Broken spine) and I have been unable to walk / sit / use much of my body at the moment.

- I have been prescribed a LOT of morphine, as well as various other drugs (I'm thinking of opening up a pharmacy, Hanna's Remedies!) I haven't really been functioning normally, and I have spent most of the time laid flat, not moving, waiting for my next round of drugs. It's not fun. . . . but today I was determined to move about a bit. . and have been slowly (read: VERY SLOWLY) walking.

- Imagine a heavily pregnant lady and how she walks, that's how I'm moving, but slower! I felt ridiculous but at least Im moving again!! hey ho! what can you do ey?!

-This rainbow was SO bright, I hate how you can never quite capture the magnificance of a rainbow, no matter how hard you try (well I can't anyway, and I don't get much practice on account of rainbows not being too frequent around these here parts!)

DSC_07122

- A flock of birds sitting in the field near my house, it's magic when they all take off at once! ( do birds take off?! That makes them sound like a plane!)

DSC_0772

-My bedroom window, this is what I have been staring at for a couple of days. As nice a window it is, it looked a lot prettier when it started to rain, yet you could still see the sun shining through.

The August Break 2011: #11 (And Han's Relationship Issues!)

- This is literally all I wanted all day.

- I know, as far as picture quality goes, it's pretty shocking, but it represented my day really well.

DSC_0704
(August Break 2011 : #11)

- It's amazing how much of a bad day you are having and just the supportive hand of someone close to you, reassuring you that everything is going to be ok, will make you feel a billion times happier.

- Righto : I've had two emails in the last week, asking me if I have a boyfriend. (yes) . . but here's why it may have slipped past you!

- I don't like blogs where people ram their relationship down your throat. I mean, I'm glad you have a boyfriend and all. . don't get me wrong, but your significant other is not what makes you, you.

- I feel this way in life too. One of my friends got VERY angry with me because she felt that I wasn't spending enough time with her. Where I had gone from living with her and seeing her a good twelve hours a day, to seeing her three or four evenings a week (She has since found a girlfriend and I haven't seen her in near enough five months) I think it's about finding a balance (old married couples - you're off the hook!)

DSC_0686
(TEA after a shopping spree?!)

(he really hates me taking pictures, so I went all stealth mode! don't know how he managed to miss my camera. . it's big enough! but shhhh)

- When I was single (and hurting- because in the end I started to enjoy singledom) in the blogs I found, if they were all soppy and "BBZ I luv yhoo/ I love my babba, he is the best thing I ever found" I immediately left the blog. I couldn't stand it. I don't mind the odd mention here and there, but I really hate the constant reminder that your life is not as good.

- Trust me I could go on about how amazing the boy is (he works with disabled people doing music workshops, and with children, and is just one of the most caring people ever) and I have written about him before, but I will always refer to him as my friend, because he is first and foremost my friend.

DSC_0701
(Swear down, he's a woman, owns more shoes than I do!)

- I just come across way to many blogs, who seem to just flaunt their boyfriends because it makes them sound 'cool'- I'm not one for judging others' relationships, but to me, a relationship is an intimate thing, it's a meaningful thing, not a status badge or a facebook update.

- Either way, yes I have a boyfriend, yes I love him, and yes he is one of the most amazing men I know (my Dad, Brother &Grandad being the others).

The August Break 2011 : #3

- I love this picture (if I do say so myself *ahem*!!) It's best viewed really big because then you can fully see the mountains through the haze, I love that you can see all of the little villages in the distance!

DSC_0182

- My best friend invited me to his this evening. . . so I rock up twenty minutes late (as per usual!) . . I walk into his flat and the door to the sitting room is shut, but on the door is a note with 'Han Number 4' written on the front
(I'm his number 4 reason he can't have a girlfriend! I'm the most important woman in his life, bar his mum, trust me, reasons 1,2 & 3 are pants)

- It was an apology letter for being mean to me (news to me, I didn't know he was mean!)

- I went through the door, and he'd set the table, lit some candles, and made me dinner!

- THE cutest thing ever, and what did I do?! left my memory card for my camera in my computer, so I can't even share how brilliant it was. Oh well.

2 :22 Hanna Loves Nick and Pete

270393_1876204780294_1096453844_31647565_7115914_n
(A picture taken by Pete on a road trip we took a couple of weeks ago, for some reason we thought this was hilarious)

- It's funny how much you can care for another person.

-That's a problem I have a lot of the time, I focus too much on other people, not on myself. I'd rather everyone else was happy than myself. I'm learning slowly, that I need to be happy aswell.

- I had a pants year, it's no lie, and I'm not quite over it yet, I'm happy again, it's over, but it still hurts, I'm not ready to laugh about it, I'm not ready to accept it, not just yet.

- However, I am grateful, I'm so grateful for the last year, because if I hadn't gone through all the rubbish I went through, I wouldn't have met some of the most amazing people I know.

- That's not entirely true, I knew them, but I wouldn't have become as close to them as I have done.

- These two men, Nick and Pete, are the highlights of my life, they are who I strive to be. One of them has scarpered off to America for the summer, and I miss him immensely, he doesn't know I miss him so much, but I don't think he knows how much he helped me. The other, I have been spending a lot of time with, and I love him to bits, he makes me smile when my day has been rubbish, I always leave his flat feeling happier than when I arrived.

- HOWEVER, he does have an awful habit of ringing me when he is drunk, or, just in the middle of the night. I recieved a phone call last night, and it turned out he was walking home. ALONG A MOTORWAY! He makes me worry so much for his safety, I have never been so stressed out!!

- I guess what I'm saying (or trying to) is that I love these two so much, and I would be so devastated if I ever lost them.

- Appreciate those you love.

2 :13 Prague in the Summer Time.

- There really is nothing like exploring a new area. A place with a history.

-Praha we love you.

- I'm not entirely sure why these pictures are in black and white, I think I must have been playing around with the settings on my camera (I do that a lot *rolls eyes*), but I quite like them like that. I wish I could erase other people from the pictures though, just take a picture of the building without the tourists.

- Possibly the worst time to be in Prague, it was SO HOT, but amazing none the less!
